By signing up to BDcabs or using the site, you agree to these terms. They’re short on purpose. If anything reads ambiguously, write to us via the contact form.

What BDcabs is

BDcabs is a pre-booking marketplace for vehicle hire in Bangladesh: customers post booking requests and verified partners (drivers and fleet owners) reply with fixed-price offers. The agreement to carry out the trip is between the customer and the partner. BDcabs is not a party to that agreement and is not your employer, employee, agent, or insurer.

No payments through the platform

No fare flows through BDcabs. There is no escrow, no payment hold, no customer service fee. The fare on a booking is agreed up front and settled directly between the customer and the driver — cash, or whatever you both agree. BDcabs records completed bookings for commission accounting with partners (see pricing), but never processes the payment itself.

How we verify partners

At sign-up we verify each user’s phone number with a one-time SMS code. Before a partner can take bookings, our team also sights their documents — driving licence, vehicle registration, fitness certificate. That document sighting is the extent of our verification: it is not an insurance policy, a fare guarantee, or a background check. Customers should ask the partner directly about anything else that matters to them before travelling.

How offers and acceptance work

When a customer posts a booking request, any verified partner on the platform can send an offer with a fixed price and a short pitch. The partner’s full name and business are always visible — no anonymous offers. When the customer accepts an offer (or our team confirms the booking with the customer by phone on their behalf), the other open offers on that request are closed automatically and a private chat opens between the customer and the chosen partner. The trip itself is then between the two of them.

Cancellation

A customer can cancel a booking request at any point before they accept an offer. After acceptance, the agreement is between the customer and the partner — see the cancellation policy for the short FAQ.

Acceptable use

When you use BDcabs, you agree to the following:

  • Don’t list a vehicle or business you don’t actually operate.
  • Don’t impersonate another person or business.
  • Don’t send offers on bookings you have no realistic intention of carrying out.
  • Don’t spam — no unsolicited promotions in chat, no duplicate accounts to flood a request with offers.
  • Don’t harass, threaten, or abuse anyone on the platform.
  • Don’t scrape the site or hammer it with automated requests.
  • Don’t use the chat to route a booking off the platform with the aim of dodging the partner commission. Customers pay nothing either way; partners settle commission directly with our team (see pricing).

Please also read the community guidelines — they spell out what good behaviour on the platform looks like.

Account suspension and deactivation

We may suspend or deactivate an account for breaking the acceptable-use rules above, for fraudulent or unlawful behaviour, or for repeated complaints from other users. In serious cases — fraud, impersonation, or threats — we may decline to reactivate. You can write to us via the contact form if you think we’ve got it wrong.

You can deactivate your own account at any time from /account/deactivate. Your profile is hidden immediately and your data is purged 30 days later unless you sign back in within that window.

No guarantee on outcomes

We do our best to keep the directory accurate and the marketplace moving, but we do not guarantee availability, quality of the vehicle or the drive, response times, or that any specific partner will offer on your booking request. If something goes wrong with a trip, the fare is for the customer and the partner to sort out direct — see what happens if a trip goes wrong.

Limitation of liability

BDcabs provides the platform on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from a trip arranged through the site — including loss of profit, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute that can’t be sorted out by talking goes to the courts of Bangladesh.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we’ll say so on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top.
