Booking a vehicle, comparing offers, paying the driver, what happens if something goes wrong.
- Does BDcabs cost me anything as a customer?
- No. Posting a booking request is free, browsing the partner directory is free, and there’s no booking fee added to the price you agree. The fare goes directly from you to the driver; BDcabs is never in the payment loop.
- How do I book a vehicle?
- Two paths. Search:from the home page, pick a vehicle type and your area; you’ll see verified partners who cover it. Open a profile, see who they are, reveal the phone, call them direct. Post a booking request: tell us your pickup, destination, date, time and vehicle type; verified partners reply with fixed-price offers in Taka and you pick the one that fits. If you prefer, our team can confirm the booking with you by phone.
- When does my phone number get shared?
- Only when you accept a partner’s offer on a request you posted (or our team confirms the assignment with you). Browsing partner profiles and revealing their phone does not share yours. The reveal is one-way — they show you theirs, you decide whether to call.
- How do I pay for the trip?
- Directly to the driver — cash is normal, or whatever the two of you agree. The price is fixed when you accept the offer, so there’s nothing to negotiate on the day. BDcabs never processes the payment and never adds anything on top.
- Can I cancel a booking request?
- Yes — freely, until you accept a partner’s offer. Once accepted, talk to the partner in chat first; most things sort themselves out. Disputes after acceptance are handled by our team; see the cancellation policy.
- What if the trip goes wrong?
- When the partner marks the booking complete, you’ll be prompted to confirm or dispute. Disputing it triggers a review by our team; the outcome is recorded permanently on the booking and the partner’s record. We can’t refund you (we never hold the fare), but we keep persistent bad actors off the platform. More on the trust page.
- Do you cover my area?
- We cover Dhaka — Gulshan, Banani, Uttara, Dhanmondi, Mirpur, Motijheel and the rest of the city — plus airport transfers to and from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, and inter-city and tour trips beyond Dhaka. Coverage depends on which partners serve your area; posting a request is the quickest way to find out.

- What does BDcabs cost partners?
- No monthly fee, no per-lead fee, no listing fee. We charge a small commission per completed booking — recorded on the platform and settled directly with our team, not deducted from anything automatically. Our team explains exactly how it works before your first booking.
- How does search ranking work?
- Distance from the customer’s area (closer = higher), then recency of activity. No paid bumps, no premium tiers. Cover more vehicle types and stay active and you’ll rank better.
- Who sees my phone number?
- Customers who explicitly tap “Reveal phone number” on your profile (which we count + show on your dashboard), and customers whose booking you’ve been assigned to. Anonymous casual browsers never see your number.
- How do I get paid?
- Direct from the customer — cash at the end of the trip, or whatever you both agree. BDcabs doesn’t handle the fare. The commission on completed bookings is settled separately, directly with our team.
- How do booking alerts work?
- You set the vehicle types + area you want alerts for. We send a single daily digest at 08:00 of any new matching booking requests in the previous 24h. No per-request pings; the digest is the only alert. Manage alerts under Account → Alerts.
- Can I edit or withdraw an offer?
- Yes — until the customer accepts. Once accepted, the offer is locked and the chat opens. Withdrawal before acceptance is one click on the offer card.
- What documents do I need to join?
- A valid driving licence, the vehicle’s registration, and its fitness certificate. Our team sights these documents before you can take bookings — that’s what “verified partner” means on BDcabs. If you claim documents you don’t hold, you’re removed and the record kept.
- Can I be on BDcabs AND other platforms?
- Yes. No exclusivity clause. List wherever you like; use BDcabs for the bookings it produces.

- Who runs BDcabs?
- A small team building the vehicle pre-booking service we wanted to use ourselves — bookings confirmed ahead of time, fixed prices, and a human ops team behind every booking. Plainspoken, no jargon, no inflated claims.
- How does BDcabs make money if it’s free?
- It’s free for customers. Partners pay a small commission per completed booking, recorded on the platform and settled directly with our team. We will never silently add a fee to the customer side of the flow.
- What do you do with my data?
- The minimum needed to run the platform. We don’t sell contact details, we don’t share data with advertisers, we don’t profile users for retargeting. Full detail in our privacy policy.
- How is my data protected?
- We follow applicable data-protection law, and the platform launched from a UK-GDPR-compliant codebase — so the strict defaults carried over. You can request a full data export from Account → Data, deactivate or delete your account, and ask us to forget you entirely (we retain only the minimum required for legal compliance — e.g. dispute audit trails).
